So, this is kind of sick, but in one afternoon, I’ve taken the plunge into the world of Twitter and bit.ly. I have to say that the idea of live-blogging your life in 140 character installments is really addicting. That being said, aside from the cocaine-like side-effects, I’m not sure how I feel about Twitter. Following and having followers has some really pop-like connotations I’m not sure I’m comfortable with.
Conversely, I really dig bit.ly. More than just the URL shortening, which is pretty convenient, bit.ly can potentially replace the 4 or so sets of bookmarks I have to maintain. It’s also kind of cool that you can see how many people have clicked into the links you’ve generated.

It took a little longer than I was anticipating, but I uploaded my résumé. It’s a little outdated and targeted towards the last position I was applying for, but I think it gets the point across. For what it’s worth, I was really impressed with how easily I was able to bring it into WordPress.

This is to become my online journal. I’m planning on putting up pictures, thoughts, and whatever else seems appropriate. As you may be able to tell, WordPress is the glue that holds this whole thing together. If you haven’t used WordPress, and you are into this sort of thing, give it a chance, it’s not terribly difficult to get up and running.
